I confess, I’m impatient.
On certain things.
Learning guitar one. Making pottery another.
I blamed it on hunger.
During the process of making pottery I either imagining those clay rolls as sausages on my big breakfast platter.
Or deliberating where to feast once the class’s over.
This impatience, I tried to keep it hidden underneath. Ashamed to show.
Yet, it appeared on my pottery works.
No room for patience. Hence I opted for the quickest ways, the simplest designs.
Cups, vase, bowl. Cups vase bowl. Cups vase bowl.
To a point teacher said to me, don’t you rush things, feel and have more patience.
Didn’t even tune myself in at the moment, to listen. I was hungry.
Now I’m on a full stomach. Looking at pictures of my work.
Hungry is not an excuse.
Wisdom for patience. It is.
Albeit. Next class. I’ll make sure to eat first.
